Knute Seebohm

Knute E. Seebohm, 61, of Chester, NJ passed away October 5, 2009. He was born on, October 25, 1947 in Endicott, NY and raised in Vestal, NY by the late Hans H.E. Seebohm and the late Lillian (Gatchell) Seebohm. Knute lived in Chester for the last 37 years. He retired as the Director of Morris County Library in 2005. He received his masters from Rutgers University and his Bachelors from Ohio University. Knute served in the US Army from 1970-1972 and joined the National Guard retiring as a Lt. Col in 1993.

Knute was a member of the Grace Bible Chapel where he served as the Financial Secretary, sang in the choir and was part of the worship team. He was an active member of the Iron Horseman Association and an avid sports fan. He was a member of the Gallon Club and donated platelets on a regular basis. Knute joined the NJCSL Board of Commissioners in 1994 and served as the Commissioner of Awards. In 2005 he served as the League Commissioner. Knute was a faithful servant of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet M. Seebohm of Chester, NJ, his sons, Scott Seebohm and his wife Gina of Lincoln, NE, Erik Seebohm and his wife Amanda of Frankfort, OH and Todd Seebohm and his wife Jessica of Chester, NJ, his grandsons, Cedrik and Jarrett, sisters, Ingrid McCollum of Longwood, Fl and Lorna Nelson of Sante Fe, NM and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
